Brown & Holmes is celebrating 75 years as a designer and manufacturer of workholding solutions.  During its three quarters of a century of trading, the firm has survived two recessions, a world war and a management buyout.

The company was originally set up in 1939, by Coventry draughtsmen, Bill Brown and Leslie Holmes, for the design of jigs, tools and gauges.  Today, the company also offers a wide range of precision machining services alongside a newly launched product division.

The company has broadened its products and services over the years to suit the needs of customers.  As well as designing and manufacturing jigs and fixtures, Brown & Holmes offers high precision machining and complex assembly work for the automotive, aerospace, oil and power generation industries.  Brown & Holmes also supplies a wide range of high value, quality gauges and is the sole UK and Ireland agent for FORKARDT rotary workholding products, Tsudakoma indexing tables, FRESMAK ARNOLD high pressure vices and TFA Alfa universal segment clamping systems.

Kevin Ward, Joint Managing Director of Brown & Holmes, said: ”We remain focused on offering our customers the right workholding solution for their needs, whether they require an off-the-shelf product or a bespoke solution."
